Steven M. Hall, CFP®
Steve is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional who began his career as a financial advisor in 1983. He considers it a true honor to serve as a trusted advisor in his clients' lives. Steve works with these valued clients to help them identify their financial goals and develop the appropriate strategies to reach them. To him, there is nothing more meaningful than helping a client identify their goals and partner together in making them become a reality. Helping people, sometimes through trying circumstances, provides a great sense of purpose and satisfaction for Steve.
An avid reader, Steve cites Simple Wealth Inevitable Wealth by Nick Murray as one his favorite books. In fact, he calls it a must-read for anyone preparing for retirement. In addition to books, Steve also devours pancakes. That's right, on Friday mornings you will most likely find him, along with his church family, serving pancakes to Hoover High School students. On Saturday mornings, you will probably find him at Perkins with his granddaughter Natalie eating pancakes. And on Sunday morning, you will likely find him…well, you get the idea..
Above all else, Steve enjoys spending time with his grandkids. He also likes boating on Saylorville and Lake of the Ozarks, riding motorcycles, hunting, and snow skiing. He loves being outdoors, especially in the early morning hours when he can watch the world wake up. Steve and his wife, Diane, were married in 1983 and currently live in Ankeny. They are blessed with five grandchildren.

Joel T. Hall
Joel Hall has joined Guide Financial Group after serving for six years as a police officer for the Ankeny Police Department. He has a passion for helping people and found the most rewarding part of his job was helping children caught in the middle of a crisis. After an evaluation of his long-term personal and professional goals, Joel left the force to serve others in a different way. He will now use his passion for helping people through his career in the financial industry. He hopes to help individuals and families achieve long-term financial success. Joel is gifted at connecting with people exactly where they are and communicating information that is relevant to their situation. He looks forward to helping clients discover their financial goals and providing them with the tools necessary to reach those goals.
Joel grew up in Urbandale and is a graduate of Iowa State University. He and his wife, Angela, have four children. In his spare time, he enjoys swinging on swings and playing on the slides at the park. Of course, his daughters Natalie and Charlotte tag along on these trips too. You can also find Joel relaxing and watching sports with his twins, Greta and Cooper. And on the rare occasion that all four of his children are napping at the same time, Joel himself likes to sneak naps in on Sunday afternoons with football on in the background. This might be why he admits he cannot live without Diet Mt. Dew or coffee. Joel believes the Des Moines area is a great place to raise a family and he looks forward to serving its residents.
